Monet Geese Reflected

On a trip during peak fall color in New England, I searched for three weeks for a good fall reflection scene. I couldn't find what I wanted in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, or Connecticut. Then, on our last day, we stayed on Long Island before taking our flight. We drove up to an art museum located on an old estate, and I saw some geese trooping into the woods. I followed them to find this beautiful, Monet impressionistic scene.

Bull in Wildflowers

This polled bull (hornless) was lounging in flowers on Point Reyes. Many of the ranches on Point Reyes have now been closed to expand natural habitat for elk.

Greeting Committee

We saw ostriches in the distance near the windmills. When I stopped to take pictures, they ran down the hill to greet me. They ended up reaching over the fence to look me over. We communed for some minutes before I continued down the road.

Wine Road Horses
